For almost 10 years, Krown has been highly regarded for providing many options for people with dietary restrictions such as Celiac, certain food allergies, vegetarianism, veganism and religious dietary preferences. Krown has cornered the market in high quality gluten free and vegan options. Krown’s traditional, from-scratch baking method, paired with all natural ingredients creates a high quality and unique product that is second to none. Krown Bakery & Eatery has a passion for quality ingredients, providing great products and cares about the hands that crafted them. Krown strives to be honest and passionate in everything they do.

our history

In 2011, Swedish Crown Bakery was created by Eva and Fari Sabet. Beginning in the deli at Grassroots Coop, they forged a strong connection with the Anoka, Minnesota community through delicious, high quality scratch-made food and baked goods. Shortly after, they outgrew their space at the coop and moved into the Anoka Shopping Center where the bakery proudly stands today.

In 2020, the Sabets rejuvenated the storefront and changed the name to Krown Bakery & Eatery. This change was to emphasize that the bakery crafts an array of Nordic and European baked goods.

In 2021, the Sabets decided it was time to pass the torch to the next generation of bakers, Madison McCormick and Sharaya Mickelson.

meet the owners

About 10 years ago, Madi and Shay’s friendship started with the baking of a cake. In 2015, Madi began her career at the Swedish Crown Bakery, under the wing of Eva Sabet. There, she learned the art of Swedish baking and the foundation of what Krown Bakery & Eatery is today. Meanwhile, in 2014, Shay began her career in custom cake and cookie baking and decorating, which has given her many years of experience.

We are more than delighted to continue on the immense legacy that Fari and Eva have created.
