Baker, full time

Krown Bakery & Eatery is looking for a new Baker! Our ideal candidate is positive, friendly, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Baking and tracking inventory of breads, sweet rolls, cookies, and other items.

  • Making custards, curds, jams, glazes, and other fillings.

  • Baking cookies, bars, and other pastries

  • Preventing cross-contamination of allergens, such as gluten or nuts.

  • Working and communicating efficiently with managers, bakers, and front staff.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces regularly.

  • Washing dishes.

  • Sweeping and mopping.

  • Packaging orders.

  • Closing procedures

  • Other duties as needed.

Experience:

  • Previous bakery experience is strongly preferred

  • Basic math skills for using recipes and inventory management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week with the possibilty of longer hours during the holidays.

Hours:

Normal shifts start in the morning and are Wednesday-Sunday for this position. In the days and weeks leading up to holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc), we may schedule for slightly longer hours or different days than usual.

Full time employees may accrue PTO and are eligible to participate in our SIMPLE IRA plan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
